Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center’s Northeast Building, the most advanced patient care facility in the San Fernando Valley, opened January 2005.

The elegant and modern metal and green glass, coupled with calming earth tones of charcoal and tan, provide a visually striking exterior to this seven-story, 200,000-square-foot building. But the facility’s interiors — with its warm colors, brilliant artwork, sophisticated medical equipment, and spacious, private patient rooms with brilliant views of the San Fernando Valley — truly showcase this is as a place of healing.

The new building includes a laboratory, imaging department, a surgery wing, intensive care unit, obstetrics and neonatal intensive care unit, a GI lab, cardiac catheterization lab and 128 all-private patient rooms.

“With its design and new technology, the Northeast Building is an upgrade in every aspect of patient care,” said Daniel Eisenberg, M.D., a cardiologist and Medical Director of
Cardiac Services at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

“This is a most exciting time in our careers at Providence Saint Joseph,” said Andrew Renner, M.D., a general surgeon and Chief of Staff of the medical center. “This facility will allow us to provide state-of-the-art service for our patients.”

“Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center’s Women’s Services is on the brink of a new, exciting era as we open this wonderful facility,” said Herald Brundage, M.D., an OB/GYN on the medical staff at the medical center. “We anticipate higher delivery rates as well as an expanded neonatal intensive care unit that will be able to care for more high-risk infants.”
